Unlike cloud-based video converters that store copies of videos on remote servers and sell analytics, VidPocket operates as an entirely local, client-side application running natively on your personal computer.

We do not track, log, intercept, or upload your downloaded files, video links, or viewing history to any server.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Zero Download Logging: We do not know what URLs you paste, which videos you watch, or what media you download.
• No Central Proxy: VidPocket connects directly from your Windows device to the target media host. No video stream ever passes through a VidPocket proxy server.
• No Behavioral Tracking: We do not include third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or invasive telemetry tools inside the desktop software.

3. Local Storage & Cookie Sessions

VidPocket stores your personal settings (such as your chosen default download directory and license activation status) locally on your hard drive using the standard Windows application data directory. This data never leaves your computer.

If you choose to use the optional Cookie Session feature to download private or subscriber-only videos from platforms like YouTube or Vimeo, VidPocket reads your local browser session cookies solely during that specific request to authenticate with the platform. VidPocket never transmits, exports, or stores your browser credentials remotely.

4. Payments & Billing Security

When you purchase a VidPocket Lifetime License, payment processing is handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy complies with PCI-DSS Level 1 standards.

VidPocket never sees, collects, or stores your credit card number, debit card information, or bank details. Lemon Squeezy transmits only an encrypted license key and activation confirmation to authorize your software copy.

VidPocket allows you to download public and accessible media from third-party hosting platforms (such as YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo, and Instagram). These external platforms operate under their own independent privacy policies and terms of service. We encourage you to review their policies regarding content access.
